Zzzzz Zzzzz
No, I haven't been sleeping and I haven't left this earth (physically at least). I've just been on a major marketing binge and trying to be a better person by working with peninsula Habitat for Humanity, giving blood at UCSF hospital and trying to help out some really great friends. Unfortunately all these things take time and leave me a little frazzled. I've also been struggling with the insane costs of Daycare. I sure wish I would have moved here before I had kids so I could have had a solid client base to lean on.
We all struggle with similar issues and in an uncertain economy, sometimes I let it get the best of me. But the good news is my work is paying off. I just did a great shoot for General Dynamics through Hill & Knowlton. Never underestimate being nice and and courteous to colleges, they found me as a recommendation from another local photographer an honor I'm happy to accept. And on the horizon, more Ambajam fall fashions and I just heard I may get a shout out in Shutterbug for my website - how cool is that?Labels: Corporate portrait, Nonprofit portrait

Wow volunteering and working. Keep at it and in theory the market will reward excellence.
Daycare is a challenge for all working mothers, but Bay area day care is especially unaffordable. I know it is hard work and I respect the good providers immensely, but it seems odd that uneducated nanny can make as much or more than someone with a proven skills and a degree.
