Love in an Elevator

Last week found me in NYC - walking around, meeting with editors, art buyers and having a little "me" time. It was a blast. Six days on my own, just working to call people and then showing my book, hopefully beginning some new relationships. I also managed to squeeze in a very helpful seminar by the folks at editorial photographers, and a shoot with an adorable and extremely pliable 2 year old. He did really well given the situation and we got some amazing work. We had worked through 3 outfits and indoors and outdoors and I had even packed up my gear. Then I paused and asked if we could return to the elevator. The light was amazing and the urban/decayed feel appealed to me in a way I can't describe. Up and down a few times and I nailed it. My new favorite photo - at least this week ;-)
