Kisses from Martinique

There's something fun about a kiss from a man in drag. Being a female photographer makes it that much easier to get men - especially those middle class STRAIGHT working men in drag to blow me kisses. I'm going to guess that the many male photographers I saw wandering around didn't get shots like this. Sometimes being the minority is an advantage. I can approach children and their parents, families and such without being viewed as a creepy old dude. I did get yelled at by a fish monger unfortunately my French left me and I wasn't able to think well enough to tell him that the light was great and I loved what they were doing. If you'd like to see the collection - you can visit them on my archive. Overall the trip was fantastic. A lot of sailing, touring, dining and yummy Caribbean food. The people were amazing and colorful, the sites and towns in the state of decay that comes with being a island constantly exposed to the sea's elements.

Of course now I've got to kick it into gear to make these images work for me and help finance the trip. With that in mind - I'm off to work.
