Happy Birthday to me

May 2nd, the annual celebration of my entrance into this world. Typically a good day but this year marked not only the celebration of my 33rd birthday but also the release of 3 print articles ABOUT ME! Okay, so I'm not the star and in one I got about 2 lines and just a little quote in the other but talk about racking up the PR. In addition to my two snippets in CNN Money and the San Francisco Business Times as a representative for ZOPA, my first writing/photography gig since college was printed in Reno Magazine, starring my family.

I think of how exciting it is to see my work popping up everywhere, from magazines to product displays. (Baby Style now carries the Bella Band packaging images courtesy of your's truly) As I continue to make strides in this business, I find it funny that I still worry so much about success. Clients seem to be making their way through my door and I continue to create compelling work for them while I keep in hot pursuit of those "dream clients" as well. I think at this point I'm not going to be an overnight sensation but with the proper steadfastness, diligence and perseverance I may just find my goals in reach.

Next week I’ll be presenting at a function to encourage other Moms to take the plunge into starting their own companies. I hope that the lessons I have learned can help others reach their goals that much faster. Here’s to the sweet taste of success - it smells like newsprint :-)
